I recently purchased a bluetooth headset (Samsung WEP470) for my LG Voyager. Documentation says that they are compatible, but my Voyager won't discover the headset. I have had three other people with their phone have no problem discovering the headset.

As far as I can tell there is a problem with the bluetooth on my phone. Is this a software issue or is it a hardware issue?

I have had Verizon update the software on the phone, but that didn't make any difference. I did notice that the bluetooth version did not change, still at 1.2, is there a way to upgrade the bluetooth version?

With the new law in effect I need a hands free solution.

What version of Bluetooth does the Headset Support? The Voyager only supports Bluetooth version 1.2 which is a little older 2.0 or 2.1 are the current versions. It might be that the headset is to new to use with your Voyager.... But as a test, try discovering other phones to make sure your phone can discover other devices... Let me know.
