Can anyone tell me if these 2 items are compatible? The Neon is not on Parrot's list of tested phones and their technical service was pretty useless. I don't want to purchase it if it's not going to work.

Can anyone suggest any other compatible car kits that utilize the factory car stereo and offer voice activated dialing etc.

Do you know which versions of Bluetooth the parrot Supports? As long as it will work with Bluetooth version 2.0 + EDR it should be okay. I see that they state compatibility with "LG" in general. But if the Neon is not on the list of Tested deivces, I don't think I would try it unless I could return it if it doesn't work. Maybe someone else on the forum can jump in with more information.

I see that the MKi9100 supports 2.0+EDR but I don't know about the CK3100.

The MKi9100 is another one that I was looking at.

Can you suggest a kit that does work? Are individual phones really that different between models?

Actually the more I look at car kits and bluetooth compatibility the more I see that the Neon is not on basically any lists of tested devices.

Is there something about the bluetooth technology in the Neon that doesn't work with other systems?

LG has the HBM800 which is a Combo Bluetooth Headset and Speaker phone / Charger which is desiged for cars. You can plug the Headset into the base unit and it becomes a speaker phone for the car. When you get out of the car just unplug the Headset from the Base unit and it transfer the call to the Headset. when you get back in the car just plug the headset back into the Base station and it's now a speaker phone again, plus it charges your heat set.

As for dedicated Car Kits, I'll look to see if I can find a list.

The Neon should be built on the Bluetooth standard so it should work... Let me check to see if I can find a list of supported / Unsupported cars - and or Car Kits.
