Hi, I presently have a LG Shine from Bell Mobility in Canada. As many users, the bluetooth function is completly screwed. It doesn't pair and if it does, it loses its connection in a few minutes.I know I should sent it to claim the warranty but I waited too long (2 months) and now the phone has been wet by accident and the warranty is void. I would like to know if I can reset or update the firmware or something like that, the cellphone is new and now, the use of cellular while driving is forbidden.

I hope someone has a solution !

I have never had an issue with the Blue tooth on my Shine. FYI - In the future if your phone gets wet. Do not turn it on untill it is dry. You can place it in a plastic bag and run a Hair Blow drier through the bag for about an hour.

I have a similar issue with the blue tooth functions of the 8700. With time, the pairing has got worse and it disconnects randomly. Many times I cannot get it to pair at all. I have noticed that hitting it (carefully) may make it work again, so I suspect a hardware problem with the circuit board or an internal connector. I have a friend with the same issue. Most likely a design flaw of some type.

I am also having a great deal of trouble pairing and maintaining bluetooth connectivity between my VX8700 and my internal handsfree in both my Lexus IS250 and Lexus RX350. the interesting thing is that both my wife and I have the VX8700 and we both had ZERO problems with the phone & Bluetooth until my phone had other problems covered by my extended warrenty (VerizonWireless). I brought my phone in for service and I was given a new (referbished) phone.

That is when my troubles started. phone paired and worked whenI got it but after about 5 min the link was lost and the re-connenect is ramdom. Got a second phone and the same issues can't connect try about 15 times before a successful connection.

My wife's phone connects to both cars every time with no problems. So what is different: The phone that works has verizion version 1 firmware and my phone has version 3. Asked verizion if I can roll back fw and they said NO.

Anyone with similiar problem or better yet an answer.
