If your Lotus has the latest Firmware version in it and it's not working, I don't think there is much hope... It seems there a lot of issue with Various Car Bluetooth systems and various Cell phones. I will pass this on to Development to see if they have any answers... Will the Lotus Elite Work? Again I don't know. I wish I could coral a bunch of the cool cars and test the Bluetooth features on them... You would think that Bluetooth is a Standard and for those following the Standard all devices would work. The Lotus Elite has Bluetooth 2.1 built in so if the Prius has Bluetooth 2.1, you would think there wouldn't be any problems... I'll look for an LG List of Phones / Car compatibility. |

Thanks, Product Pro. I found a Toyota site on that topic, but it seems woefully out of date. I'd be grateful for any info you can find. |

I just got an LG Ally yesterday and the bluetooth is also incompatible with my Prius (2007). It pairs but won't sync up after entering the password. The system update installed immediately and the phone says my software and firmware are up to date. My prior phone was a year old LG ENV2 where the bluetooth was compatible and worked fine. Is this the same issue as the 2010 prius? Is there anything else I can try? |

The Update you just received on the Ally had some fixes in it for BMW models, but I haven't heard anything for Toyota... I know the next version of Android OS will address some additional issues with Bluetooth. I'll see if I can find any additional information... I did find the following Toyota Prius Forum site with some discussions about Bluetooth and various years... http://priuschat.com/ |

Thanks Product Pro! I'll see if Android 2.2 fixes the problem. |

Hi there, trying to sync a LG Ally bluetooth with a Toyota 2010 Prius (without Nav sys). Their website offers no information for that model (only others, which have a different interface), and I had no luck with the priuschat link either.

If you are pairing from the Prius to the Phonre, make sure the phone is "Discoverable" so it can be seen by the Car, then Search for the phone. Once you find the phone you should see a code on the Car kit, just enter that into the phone to verify the pairing, you should be all set... If you are trying it the other way, then reverse the process....Make sure the Car is DIscoverable and initiate the search from your phone, and then enter the code displayed when prompted. There should be a place to type the code in... You might have to try the process both ways to get it to work...Try the phone serching for the car, if that fails try the other way. |

Partial success. Discovered the car, connected the phone. However, each time I get back in the car, I can't simply look up the car on the phone and tap it to connect - I need to run the car through the "select phone" sequence each time to reconnect. Any ideas on how to avoid having to do this every time? |

Are you using the Lotus or Lotus Elite? For Sprint or Virgin Mobile? Do you have the latest version of Firmware in the Lotus? How about the latest version of Bluetooth software in your Prius? It sounds like a compatibility issue between the two Bluetooth devices that's causing them not "Auto Connect" |

Trying once more to see if there is a resolution to this. I'm eligible for a new phone early next year and will migrate to a non-LG phone if I can't get my first-gen Lotus to work. Probably one of those new Blackberry flip phones. Summary: First-gen LG Lotus won't connect to a 2010 Toyota Prius, with nav. I've worked with several Toyota techs to make the pairing work, on the advice of Sprint. (Sprint says work with Toyota; Toyota says ... well, you know). I am able to pair initially, and can even make a call, but the pairing fails as soon as the car is rebooted. (Yes ... you actually boot up a Prius). My view is that Bluetooth connectivity is a safety issue. I don't think it is safe to operate a cell phone while driving. So it's a big deal for me, and I'm kind of surprised LG is not more proactive in offering an interface solution for one of the most popular cars in America. Bluetooth does no good if it doesn't work. Thanks again. |
