I've have the LG Decoy for almost two years. I think it's a great phone. Loved the whole concept of the bluetooth attachment. BUT I have had a lot of trouble keeping it in sync. I keep the piece attached to the back of the phone always. And I recharge the phone with the piece still in it. My problems began maybe 3 to 6 months after I got the phone. I would "turn on" the bluetooth and hit the side button on the earpiece and nothing would work. I got the bright idea that maybe it just fell out of sync. So I would unpair the bluetooth and sync it back up through the Headset Wizard and presto.. I was back in business.. Well this no longer seems to work. I have a brand new issue and don't know what to do.
On the shortcuts I have the directional keys set up. When I move the joystick up the bluetooh menu pops up. The #1 item is ADD NEW DEVICE and the #2 items is DECOY HEADSET WIZARD. I used to be able to hit #2 and the pairing wizard instructions would come up. BUT now when I hit #2 or OK it TURNS OFF MY PHONE. ???? I took out the battery restarted up the phone AND it still is doing this. I can't get the Wizard instructions to come up. It just freezes and turns off my phone.. It's bizarre. Anyone know how to fix this?? I haven't gone down to the Verizon store yet to see if they can help but I'm assuming they won't be able to. This really pisses me off. It's as it they designed the software to malfunction to force me to buy another phone or bluetooth. I really like this phone and I use the Bluetooth when driving. If anyone knows how to get this working please let me know. Thanks.

I'm sorry for the problems you are seeing... The Decoy is a great phone. The only thing to try before contacting LG Support is to do a Master Reset. This will reset your phone to factory settings so you'll want to back up the phone... If this doesn't help then I would call customer service to see if they can think of anything else to try. OK.. I think I'll run it by Verizon to see what they say. Then I'll due what you suggest. I'll keep you posted in the event someones else wanders on to this topic. If anyone else has another suggestion, please let me know. thanks a bunch.
