Hi all

I feel so stupid, my carrier called me and offered a phone, so i've got this Cookie without checking if it was compatible with iSync. I thought "we're in 2009, and LG is a big company, it'll work".

Now I'm thinking i wont open the box and sell it on ebay. I don't see any reason to move from an iSyncable phone to a non syncable one. A touch screen? What do I need it for?

Anyone has a solution or should I sell it?

Thanks in advance

It is possible to sync to iTunes on a Mac using the great free program SyncTunes. However, you are not able to sync your Cookie with isync at this time. The Arena does come with the SyncML protocol (which allows the ability to sync with isync), so this would be a viable alternative for you still in the LG family.

Thanks for the answer!

If it doesn't have the SyncML protocol it means it'll never work with iSync?

Do you know if there are any plans from LG to develope a sync utility for Mac?

I don't want to sync music, the real utility is to sync contacts and agenda. Now I'm sharing the same information on 2 computers and my Nokia and is great.

So disappointing... This'll be my first and last LG phone, I'm going back to Nokia.

I could sync my mac to it and then use it as a bridge.

Thanks in advance

Ditto that, I didn't check the compatibility list too, and now am aching for my old-school Sony Ericsson. Fortunately, I think my company has a return/exchange policy with AT&T. I was hoping someone on this forum would tell how to get ISync to work

ISync is super at keeping changes in the phone's contacts and my Mac's contacts in-sync. And I love the simplicity of having my synced calendars on both my phone and Mac. I can't see giving that up.

yeah I'm an iSync fan as well, unfortunately I'm stuck on a PC so I haven't had the opportunity to try our phones on iSync.... I have one Mac user here that I can check with... Let me see if I can find any info.
