my env touch keeps disconnecting my motorola s9 headset after a few seconds. the s9 works with my old phones (chocolate, motorola Q9m) and my laptop. it also gives me the same problem with my wife's env touch. I've already upgraded the firmware (vx11kv05) still no luck. motorola already said they could not help and still waiting for verizon's reply. if anyone has success using both gadgets together i would appreciate any advice. thanks.

Is your EnV Touch working with any other BT devices?

NP I ran a search and I cannot find a known compatability issue with these devices. You might want to take both into your local VZW store so that someone can visually see what is going on.

Hi, have you tried resetting the S9? Many times with headsets, the device log within the headset doesnt delete properly or the temp memory of connected devices get corrupted.

Try this

- Turn the Bluetooth Headset on
- Connect it to the charger
- Disconnect it after 5 seconds
- Reset is done.

Delete the old paired S9 from the phone and do a search, pair and connect again. This should work.

I tried this. It worked for about a couple of songs then it started disconnecting again. when it did connect again it played the music in mono then disconnect again. I appreciate the suggestion though.

Ok, so it plays in stereo for a couple of songs then disconnects on its own? Are you trying to skip songs during the process or this is from straight playback only? So when you say it disconnects, does it disconnect entirely or just the stereo music? Ex. Do you get a pop up on the phone screen that says "disconnected from S9"?

Are you receiving calls at all during music playback? THis willfirce the stereo streaming off and go into mono.

Sometimes with stereo headsets, the initial playback will start in mono then after about 20 seconds will go stereo once it has identified the audio stream.

If this is happening with your wifes phone and you are not having any of these issues on other devices, the this is most defintely and interoperablity issue. Keep in mind that although Bluetooth is a universal standard, companies can still program the implementation differently.

just straight playback no skipping songs and no incoming calls. I do get the pop up that says disconnected from S9. Do you think this might be rectified with the next firmware update if it is addressed by LG. thanks again for all your help.

I just activated the EnV Touch and have found out that in order to engage the speaker phone the phone has to be open to the QWERTY keyboard- gotta a be a better setup to to use the speaker phone be sides having to fumble around to get my phone open and carrying around open while I'm in the middle of a task where I'd like to have my hands free. My last phone, I could walk around with it in my pocket talk and not have to deal with it. Please tell me there is a way to fix it. I went back to Verizon and their rep didn't know of a way. There has to be a practicle way to activate the speaker phone with out openng up to the QWERTY keyboard. HELP!!!

Hi, you are correct there is no speakerphone access from the outer casing of the phone when the flip is closed.

I am still wondering why this was not implemented on the phone myself. Accessing all call features from the touch screen with no speakerphone access is beyond me...

I called Motorola and they sent me a replacement headset. I got the s9hd (white) and it works perfectly. Only thing is after listening to music for 30 minutes the fully charged envy battery was drained. but at least it works.
