My VX5500 is paired with my car HandsFree system. I want them to automatically Bluetooth-connect everytime I start my car instead of going through multiple steps via the "settings and tools" menu to manually connect. In other words, just drive off and start making/receiving calls. My previous phones (not LGs) have had settings that allowed this, but I have not found a way to do this with my VX5500.
Is there a way to do this?
Thanks.

Same problem with my VX5400 and my GPS. I have to connect manually through the menus every time I enter the car. There's got to be a better way. In my manual it says that after pairing the phone and GPS I should get a choice of "Always ask" or Always connect". I want to "Always connect", but that command never shows up for me. |

Bob,
Same experience with my VX5500: never saw the choice of "always ask" or "always connect" per my manual -- thru many pairings and re-pairings. My guess is that LG has a software design bug, which I hope they correct soon.
BTW, I've found a work around that is simpler than menuing your way to a BlueTooth connection, but not as nice as if the phone software worked: I simply turn my VX5500 completely off and then on again. This works before entering the car, or even a few miles down the road. Works every time. (That's why I say this is a software bug, as the phone is capable of connecting automatically following a complete power down and reboot.)

Thanks Jim. Turns out that we bought a new car with Bluetooth installed and it works perfectly with the phone so I guess the problem was with my GPS. |

FYI - Same problem recurs and continues with the Xenon. Will not auto-pair with my BlueAnt Supertooth II. Thanks To Jim for the power off/power on suggestion. I will give this a try. |
