Hoping for a fix for this. Would also like to hear if others are having this problem. Maybe enough feedback can get this issue to the engineers...

Env Touch on Verizon - s/w version 8

Issue: Bluetooth Ear-piece is unable to initiate or answer calls if a message prompt is displayed on the phone. Message prompts can be a waiting txt msg, missed call, voice msg, prompt. They need to cleared before the Bluetooth Ear-piece can initiate or answer a call.

This is a safety issue / annoyance.

Example scenario: I'm driving, someone sends me a txt msg. I decide not to look at it until I park, but want to be able to answer an incoming call that comes afterwards. The Bluetooth is effectively dead until I unholster the phone, and acknowledge the waiting txt msg prompt. Not safe to do while driving. A hassle to pull over. An annoyance to miss my call.

Good Comment, I'll pass it on.

Tried a 3rd Bluetooth earpiece and got some improved results. This one was version 2.1 with ERD. The others were version 2.0.

When a message is displayed (waiting for touch to clear):
- I can answer an incoming call
- Call the last number I had dialed
- But still, cannot initiate a new call other than above
